Here Are Your Favorite Not So Scary Halloween Movies

I am not a fan of horror movies and I am sure I’m not alone. So what do I watch during Halloween? You and I need some Halloween movies to kick-start our Halloween mood but at the same time be able to have a peaceful and happy night free of nightmares. This post contains a list of not so scary Halloween movies.

So now you know my plan for the 7 days before Halloween. Let me know you favorite Halloween movies in the comments.

Some of these Halloween movies might be scary but are not haunting. I mean, Halloween needs a little horror, right? Just a little.

Before I begin, I would like to clarify that I do not gain any money or credit if you watch the movie from the links I have provided.

1. ParaNorman (2012)

A boy who can speak to the dead but only his new friend believes in his ability. His uncle tells him to perform a ritual in order to protect the city from a curse. Guess what happens? A lot of witches and magic!

You should consider watching this animation. I like it because it brings the Halloween vibe. It is also family friendly. You definitely won’t be spending a sleepless night. The ratings are good.

Watch the movie here.

2. The Haunted Mansion (2003)

When you hear Eddie Murphy, you know it is . . . This one is about a realtor who went to mansion together with his wife and kids only to discover that it was haunted. Did they survive?

Yet another vibe to gear up for Halloween without sleepless nights. The ratings are fairly good and definitely worth watching.

3. Coraline (2009)

Another one with amazing ratings. Even before I finished watching the trailer, I knew I had to watch this one. The theme of Halloween is very evident.

Coraline moves to an old house where she feels neglected. She then discovered a hidden passage. After crossing she finds people with buttons instead of eyes and . . .

4. Twitches (2005)

Twin sisters are saved and adopted by different families. When they meet later on in their lives, they discover they have super powers. Will they use it to save their biological mum?

It is a little comical. Halloween is not as evident as the other movies. But again, too much of everything is poisonous. So here is a little diversity from your witchy Halloween.

5. Hotel Transylvania (2012)

Animation time. Dracula builds a resort where he raises his son far from humans. It later becomes a hotel where monsters bring their families for vacation. On the son’s 118th birthday . . . the drama begins.

6. Return to Halloweentown (2006)

With fairly good ratings, we follow the lives of two girls who after graduating high school go to Witch U college in Halloweentown. Magic is not allowed here. One of the girls realizes she is to blame for the rule? What happens after?

Watch the movie here.

7. The Little Vampire (2000)

Perfect for Halloween. The story of a thirteen year old vampire whose family is threatened by a vampire. Will he and his friend manage to fight the adversaries from the vampire and save his family?

Bonus

To crown it up, on the night of Halloween we can watch two movies, yeah? I mean we need to say goodbye in style. Our bonus Halloween movie is Little Evil. I won’t say much about it but it is a good treat for yourself.
