For the first time since I started blogging, this the time I would claim that what I have written a lifestyle post. I have been blogging for two months now and I have had my fair share of troubles. From not posting consistently to basically not being able to plan ahead. Nevertheless, here we are still strong and fighting on. I am so excited it is a new month because I have so much planned for this month both for me and you. This month feels like a beautiful and blessed one and I believe that I will accomplish my goals.
Just before I get into talking about me, let me ask, do you ever look at people’s life and wish your life would be that way? There are people whose life seems so organized and you can tell that they know what they are doing. Well, sometimes I envy them. Just recently is when I realized it is not easy to have such a lifestyle and even those who try have never had it perfect. It takes a lot of time and effort.
Okay now, back to me! In mid-July, I felt I needed to change little aspects of my life. I cannot afford to preach water and drink wine. Goals started accumulating in my head of what I need to change and how I can have a better lifestyle for myself. A better lifestyle means having more time for myself, making more time for my relationship and overall leading a healthy life. This meant that I needed to plan because I love knowing exactly what I will work on. I became so overwhelmed because I was just expecting too much from myself.
There is always that which you can change and that which you can’t. All I know is that whatever you decide to achieve requires time, effort and patience. It was not easy to come up with new month goals but it was worth the try. At least something to keep you busy and productive all month.
I settled on two aspects of my life as well as to give this blog my best effort. I will not reveal now what I have planned for the blog but very soon you will know. On that note, are you subscribed to our newsletter? Moving on, my decision to work on these two aspects was based on what my priorities are at this point in time.
Let’s dive in:
Organisation and Planning.
So, some time back, I wrote 3 secrets to better time management. This was where I started and it worked extremely well for me. After some time, I felt that I needed to finesse my planning and organization skills. I needed a healthy and working work-life balance. I always want to know what my day entails and at the end of the day, I am always happier if I have accomplished all the giant tasks I had planned.
The biggest trouble with success is that its formula is just about the same as that for a nervous breakdown. ~John Holmes.
Being a new month, this is my top agenda. I have come up with custom planners where I write my monthly goals and targets, I break them up to weekly tasks then finally I have daily tasks. I am also working on my morning and evening routines. PS: I did not know the importance of routines until now. A wardrobe makeover is also underway and I am starting to track all my expenses just to get a better view of how and what I spend my money on.
I am pretty sure it will not be an easy time but I am glad that I started it off right. I got my diary and planners in check. What makes me happy is that I am psyched to ensure that by the end of the month, I am a guru at organization and planning.
Health and Fitness
I need not talk much about this because you already know how important this is. This is one of the monthly goals I am doing together with my Miele. Honestly, it has been a struggle for us coming from not caring what we eat and eat outs to eating healthy and avoiding eat outs. But why do we need to do this? To live longer? My answer is because you cannot spend a large amount of time in your life trying to be successful then spend all the money you have earned taking care of your hospital bills.
That was awakening. Our target has been to work out at least 4 to 5 times a week. So far, we are making it. We love home workouts very much, again because of so many reasons like this one. We are also trying out new healthy and simple recipes. They are also working out well. Eat outs have somehow reduced.
Those are my two main goals. I really hope I motivate you to also come up with at least one main agenda for the month and work towards it. Do your research and gather all the instruments/tools you need and start on it. Make it a point to improve at least one thing of your life per month. By the end of the year, you will be a better person with a healthier and happier life.
I will update you on the progress at end month. Wishing you all the best in setting your amazing goals for this month. Trust me, regardless of how obvious and not so cool you may think your goals are; I tell you they are AMAZING because they build you to a better person.
